West African Books Lead the Way at BCA Business Book Awards

By SG Editor·

Stack of books about African literature and culture, highlighting Africa’s creative and entrepreneurial revolution.

The 3rd edition of the BCA African Business Book of the Year Awards celebrates the best business stories shaping Africa’s socio-economic growth. This year’s shortlist, dominated by West African authors, spans diverse themes—from inspiring biographies and manufacturing to capital market reforms and Africa’s innovative response to COVID-19. The awards, organized by the Business Council for Africa alongside BrandComms and African Business, aim to elevate African entrepreneurship and resilience through compelling storytelling. Esteemed judges, including Arnold Ekpe and Chris Ogbechie, emphasize the importance of Africans mastering their own narratives to reduce perceived risks and unlock the continent’s potential. Winners will be announced at a July 4 ceremony in London, with a $10,000 prize awaiting the top author.
