Nigeria’s state oil company, NNPC Limited, reported a 16% rise in profit after tax in June 2026, climbing to roughly $340 million from about $293 million in May. A strong rebound in crude oil sales drove the growth, with the company selling 27.23 million barrels in June, up from 17.99 million in May, marking the highest monthly total in a year. Total revenue also increased, while gas sales rose modestly. NNPC remitted roughly $907 million to Nigeria’s federation account during the month, bringing total first-half remittances to about $3.98 billion. The company also reported progress on major gas pipeline projects aimed at expanding domestic energy supply later this year.
