Africa recorded the world’s fastest growth in ultra-high-net-worth individuals in 2025, with the number of people worth at least $30 million rising 23.7% to 3,440. Their combined wealth increased 22.4% to $400 billion, driven by stronger African currencies, improved financing conditions, digital transformation, and rising investment linked to demand for strategic minerals. Although Africa accounts for only 0.6% of the global ultra-rich population, the continent is projected to remain the fastest-growing wealth market through 2030, when it could host about 5,200 ultra-wealthy individuals. Globally, the ultra-wealthy population grew 14.4% in 2025 to a record 556,850 people, with combined wealth climbing to $63.8 trillion, led by the United States, China, and Germany.
