Our past, present and future plan is not to take Kenyan music international but to do quality and international music in Kenya.

Lyn Clint King: Early Life/ Music Career

My art journey has been long. Back in primary school I started by drawing, making art pictures and drawings. After that I attended musical classes where I went for inter-school competitions which were mainly poetry, traditional songs and vocals. After I joined high school I continued drawing but I switched to dancing, standup comedy and acting, I had the impression in music though I never knew how to do it. When I entered form 2, I heard of this artist “octopizzo” from Kibera and I got inspired by his music. But before that I was more into dance hall music. I did one dance-hall track though never recorded it before I got an impression into hip hop music. I thank the St Francis Of Assisi Kaptik School for having me as the school’s entertainment secretary for two consecutive years. From then on wards, I Started writing my pieces of hip hop music up to date I am representing Kawangware my street and Kenya into the universal music industry.

First recording /project:
After I cleared high school, I met my musical friends and I remember we were making rounds in the streets, we came across a poster that was a representation of a studio in kangemi. We called the number and luckily we met the producer who was friendly. We got to the studio and we recorded my first song “midnight party” which wasn’t of a good quality and after some time I had to switch myself from that studio to quality-offering studios.

People who have supported my musical growth: after I had shifted from the studio, I got an audition to Nairobi artistic youths association. I passed the audition and I was enrolled as the music director of the group. where I got much artistic support from , my mother, my producer ( Aj on the track, ) last but not least my manager (Damian lion the manager. )

Kena Kraizy Youngking: Early Life/ Music Career

I joined Nairobi artistic youth association in 2013 as an actor after being influenced by my current manager who used to be the groups chairperson at that time. After I had cleared my high school education, I was enrolled to a local beauty and hairdressing collage in Kawangware, up on my completion I was appointed to the post of the group’s beauty therapist. With time I got the influence to start trapping/rapping, these zeal was triggered by the then music director Lyn Clint King.

I started planning on how and what I could do to change the music industry and elevate it to a different level. I chose to work with hip-hop in 2016, because it is easy for me to create rhymes, play with words to trap and rap and make sense to the audience. And at Kawangware kings I strongly believe that we will make the chance that we want to see and sense in the Kenyan music industry as we introduce international and quality music to Kenya. And that is evident from our previous project (BOSSES) available on YouTube.
