Earlier This Year In April, AJourneyOfMilez Released “Mhlaba”, A Hypnotic Single, On Paradise Sound System
AJourneyOfMilez is a rare breed of talent. A music producer and DJ known for his electronic tribal afro sound, his seasoned taste, stories and compositions are inspired by not his self-consciousness only but his pilgrim-like experiences.
His last single “Mhlaba” is written from an innocent view of the world through a child’s eye, a longing for an escape to a time when reality was internal, formed in whichever taste or shape we willed. This is underlined by the mysterious vocals by Mbalizethu singing a spiritual chant and cry written in isiZulu “Mhlaba! ungangivusi ngisaphupha” translating to “World! Do not wake me up, i am still dreaming”.

Now analogue maestros Shayde, mainly known from their releases on Connaisseur and their own fabulous imprint Turbolenz, are on remix duty for „Mhlaba“. The Offenbach-based artist duo turned the epic and demanding Afro House builder into dirty Techno cut with alienated and hypnotic vocals.
Building Bridges with a fist bump!
The electronic artist duo got in touch with the Johannesburg based Artists though Connaisseur Recordings, the European in-house label of Paradise Worldwide. Its African In-House Label Paradise Sound System was able to make the introduction to build yet another bridge between Africa & The World, from Johannesburg all the way to Offenbach.
