A recent Henley & Partners wealth migration report has declared Mauritius as one of the top eight havens for millionaires globally. The island nation joins Australia, Switzerland, Singapore, the UAE, New Zealand, Malta, and Monaco in this category, noted for their relative insulation from global political and economic problems. Over the past decade, the country has experienced an 87% increase in millionaires and, as a result, is the fastest-growing wealth market in Africa and the third-fastest worldwide. The country attracts wealthy individuals, particularly from South Africa, the UK, and France, due to its high safety levels, robust banking systems, and favorable investment climate. The island nation is also a popular retirement destination which, alongside a top-class healthcare system and high living standards, makes it particularly appealing to affluent retirees. The report also stated that states that, alongside the other countries on the list, Mauritius will see a net inflow of over 200 millionaires this year.
