4th West Africa LPG Expo – Ivory Coast
September 7 @ 8:00 am – September 8 @ 5:00 pm SAST
Côte d’Ivoire is paving the way for LPG’s storage, distribution, and supply with its plans to establish one of the most extensive LPG storage facilities in Africa.
The LPG consumption in Côte d’Ivoire has risen from 175KT in 2013 to 380KT in 2019. Moreover, projections indicate that it will raise at a CAGR of 7% over the next 15 years, making it the most flourishing petroleum product in sub-Saharan Africa. Therefore, there is a pressing urgency to expand LPG shipments, storage, supply, and distribution.
In this period of unprecedented economic, environmental, and demographic shifts, more widespread use of LPG is expected to lessen the impact on forest reserves and net greenhouse emissions, leading to improved environmental sustainability. Hence, there is an immediate need to invest in the LPG infrastructure for the impending future in order to combat climate change and optimise finite resources. Furthermore, given how expanding LPG infrastructure will assist in improving the country’s LPG storage capacity by 60%, investment interest is projected to climb.
