About Àkójọpọ̀
Our Founder And Executive Director, Daniel Kumapayi, Started The Àkójọpọ̀ Music Foundation in 2020. Through our concerts, e-commerce marketplace, music education and arts administration initiatives, we empower communities by raising awareness and celebrating the diverse heritage of African and Afro-diasporic music.
Our platform is made possible with the hard work and dedication of our volunteer publishing team: Daniel Kumapayi (Executive Director), Marieke de Koker (Publishing Team Lead), Helen Camila Mancera-Romero (Artist and Community Relations) and Joshua Kerobo (Blog Editor).
