Magical Kruger National Park Safari Short Break
TELEPHONE
This 4 Day/ 3 Night Kruger Safari, takes travellers away from the crowds for a unique experience in one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Travellers will stay for three nights in an exclusive lodge in the Mjejane section of Kruger Park with six game drives included.
You will be welcomed at Johannesburg International airport and immediately make your way to the famous Kruger National Park. It is around a four and a half hour drive and your guide will explain to you about the history and culture of South Africa along the way, pointing out the sights and explaining the topography as you make the trip from Jo’burg to Kruger.
Skip the hubbub of the commercial type safari and have a completely unique Kruger Safari experience. You will arrive at a reserve bordering the Kruger, a recent farmland that has been returned to the local people. They have since joined with the South African Parks, who have let the fences down and incorporated this reserve into the Kruger. They manage the wildlife and land, meaning during the stay you are basically within the Kruger! The entire Big 5 and everything in between is found in the reserve, a 4000 hectare area on the banks of the Crocodile River, the southern border of Kruger.
You will be accommodated in the lodge with beautiful views of the Crocodile River, where hippo, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and antelope are seen daily. Occasionally lion, leopard and cheetah are seen from the lodge as well. At night, hyena can be seen patrolling the fences, whilst you dine under the stars.
You will enjoy your first game drive that evening along the river, marvel at your first African sunset and return to the lodge for a traditional South African braai (barbeque).
The next couple of days you will enjoy a combination of game drives in Kruger and the Mjejane Reserve as you tick-off the list of animals and birds, whilst your guide explains all that you see and hear. You will have coffee or refreshment breaks during the drives to relax and take in your surroundings and enjoy cooked brunches at picnic spots within Kruger, prepared by your guide. A night drive will also be arranged, giving you a chance to see some nocturnal wildlife.
This truly is an amazing part of the world and we are sure you will not want to leave. Three nights is sufficient enough time to enjoy a safari and see all you want to see. If you have a bit more time, we recommend our extended Kruger package, giving you a little more time to relax in this natural environment."
