How do I find the right safari?

Once you have an idea of where you would like to go and/or what kind of experience you're looking for, select your criteria on the left hand side of any page on Safari Wizard.

Perform a basic search using one or two filters to narrow your search by more specific criteria. To generate the most results possible for your search, select three or fewer filters at a time. Your selected filters will appear at the top left corner of the page. Click X Remove next to any filter to remove it. Your search results will appear in the middle of the page. Click on each result to view photos and additional information about each lodge.

Maybe there aren’t any safaris on Safari Wizard that meet your criteria at this time. But it is more likely that you have selected too many filters at once or that your filters conflict. For example, perhaps you selected “Gorilla” as the animal you wish to see on safari and “South Africa” as your preferred destination. Did you know that Gorillas are not found in South Africa? They only exist in a few countries in equatorial Africa. It’s OK if you weren’t aware of that – we don’t expect you to be an expert on safaris…yet! Just try adding your filters one at a time and refine your search gradually to reduce conflicts. We generally recommend that you select a maximum of three filters at a time to generate the most results possible for your search.

Each lodge has a home page on Safari Wizard with an overview, photos and a list of the criteria met. You can also zoom in on the map provided to see the property's exact location. If you need additional information, call the number provided, email your questions, or click through to the property’s website to learn more.

You can also learn more about any of our recommended itineraries by dialing the number provided on each's lodge's page! When you call, just select option one for assistance with planning your itinerary.
