Africa.com, the world’s largest Africa related website, with over 2 million visitors each month from over 200 countries around the world, has completed its selection of the best restaurants in South Africa.
“It’s the guide that reaches not only local, but international foodies, and restaurants have to earn their place in the guide…that's unique” says Benny Masekwameng.
The Africa.com Restaurant Guide is a carefully selected portfolio of establishments, which are chosen by a team of experts, who live and travel extensively throughout Africa, Europe, the US and Asia. Our experts guide discerning diners to those restaurants which meet the exacting standards in our three categories, Platinum, Gold and Bronze.
The Africa.com Restaurant Guide considers the quality of the food, the wine list, the service, the ambiance, and value for money in the execution of these evaluations. Evaluations are done anonymously. No restaurant knows when or how it is being evaluated. This maintains objectivity in the process. Evaluators do not accept free meals or any other type of compensation as part of the evaluation process. Lastly, individual feedback comments from the over two million monthly visitors to the Africa.com website are taken into account when evaluations are done.
A finite number of restaurants (Restaurants featured in The Africa.com Restaurant Guide are contacted by Africa.com) has earned Platinum, Gold and Bronze ratings. These restaurants will be announced at The Africa.com Restaurant Guide Press Conference and Champagne Breakfast on March 7th at 9 AM.
