African Economic Forum

Africa’s potential as an economic frontier has come to fruition. At this year’s African Economic Forum at New York University, entitled People, Ideas, and Events Reshaping the African Continent, we celebrate success stories in hopes of inspiring a new generation of leaders.

Headlining the African Economic Forum, which takes place on Saturday, April 6th, will be Cameroonian politician Kah Walla, and Ghana’s presidential hopeful Papa Kwesi Nduom.

At 45, Kah Walla is internationally recognized for her expertise in management, understanding of development issues and stances on Africa’s women and youth. In 2008, the World Bank named her one of the world’s seven leading women entrepreneurs in Africa. Hailed the “divine intervention” to Cameroonian politics, she is one of the most remarkable political leaders to emerge out of her generation.

He helped establish Deloitte & Touche’s local presence across the continent following a successful business career in the United States. A presidential candidate in the 2008 and 2012 elections, he is widely recognized for his unique combination of private and public sector experience and expertise.
