
Museums in Zambia
The Moto Moto Museum in Mbala (http://www.museums.co.zm/index_Moto_Moto.htm) exhibits ethnography and history materials. The Copperbelt Museum (http://www.museums.co.zm/Cb_Museam.htm) at Ndola exhibits geological and historical items as well as ethnic art. The Lusaka National Museum (http://www.museums.co.zm/Lusaka_Museums.htm) holds a small number of political, archaeological, ethnographic and modern art collections. Finally, the Livingstone Museum (http://www.museums.co.zm/Livingstone%20Museum.htm) is the oldest of the four national museums and has displays on history, archaeology, ethnography and metallurgy.The Choma Museum and Crafts Centre has played a major role in the development of rural crafts in the Zambia. Nayuma Museum in Mongu provides information on Lozi heritage, Barotseland history, geography, development, politics, economics, sociology and culture. The Railway Museum in Livingstone has an interesting exhibition of the history of the railway in Southern Africa, as well as a fascinating collection of old locomotives. The Eastern Cataract Field Museum near Victoria Falls concentrates on archaeology and geology, including illustrations of the formation of the falls and the Stone Age sequence in the area.
