Museums in Uganda

The Uganda Museum (http://www.ugandatourism.org/Uganda%20Museum.php), founded in 1908 on the outskirts of Kampala, contains an excellent anthropological collection. It has a collection of East African musical instruments and archaeological specimens. The Zoological Museum at Makerere University has a collection of rock fossils, birds and mammals indigenous to Uganda, and the university's geology department has natural history collections. Entebbe has a game and fisheries museum.
