Museums in Cote d'Ivoire

The Museum of Civilization in Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan features ethnological, sociological, artistic, and scientific exhibits. Musée Adja Swa is an ethnographic museum housing textiles, statues and masks. The Native Costume Museum was founded in 1981 in Grand Bassam. Masks, statues, musical instruments and carved doors can be found at the Musée Charles et Marguerithe Bieth, located in Abengourou Moyen-Comoé Region.
 
Musée Binger de Zaranou holds a collection of ornaments, weights for weighing gold, attributes of power and photographic archives. Musée des Armées is run by the country’s Department of Defense and houses weapons of war, maps, military decorations, photographs and military uniforms. Musée Municipal d'Art Contemporain de Cocody is a municipal museum with paintings, sculptures, paintings, photographs and historical documents.
