Museums in Cameroon
The Museum of Douala (Musée Provincial de Douala) has prehistoric and natural history galleries from Cameroonian ethnic groups. The Musa Heritage Gallery in Kumbo (http://www.musartgallery.info.ms/) celebrates and seeks to preserve the western-grassfields of Cameroon.
Baham Museum includes major objects from the cultural and artistic heritage of the kingdom of Baham. Bandjoun Museum has objects of the cultural and artistic heritage of Bandjoun, a center of artistic creation and tradition in the Cameroonian Grassland. Babungo Museum celebrates the culture of Cameroon’s iron-work center. Also, the Mankon Museum explores the cultural artifacts from the high plateau of Western Cameroon. The Diamaré and Maroua Museum has ethnographic materials relating to Cameroon’s Sudanese people. Yaoundé has a museum of art and archaeology (Musée National de Yaoundé).
