Museums in Benin

 
There are historical museums in Abomey (Musée Historique d' Abomey) and Ouidah (Musée d'Historie de Ouidah). Musée Ethnographique Alexandre Sénou Adandé is an ethnological museum in Porto-Novo with weapons, tools, musical instruments, religious objects and furniture from various cultural groups in Benin. There is a museum of natural history and ethnography in Parakou (Musée Ethnographique de Plein Air de Parakou) with a famous collection of Gelede Masks.
 
The Musee Honme (Palais Royal) in Porto-Novo hosts masks and crowns, including King Toffa’s exclusive photographs and royal carriage. Musée da Silva des Arts et de la Culture details the history of Benin, from the African Dahomey Kingdom until the present Benin.
