| Answer: | The most commonly practiced religions in Africa are Christianity and Islam. The two religions contest which is larger but a rough estimate in 2000 polled 40.6% of Africans as Christian and 45% as Muslim. It is very common for Africans to identify as Christian or Muslim while simultaneously incorporating elements of traditional or tribal religion into their practice. Traditional religious practices are often similar in across countries, however traditional religion is most commonly unique to specific ethnic groups. |
