National Account Executive – Online Ad Sales

Who We Are:
We are looking for an online ad sales executive with responsibility for all US geographies and all advertiser industries. Africa.com is run by a team of highly driven professionals, passionate about showing the world a “new” view of Africa as a tourist and investment destination, and building a highly profitable start up company that provides a significant wealth creation opportunity through the allocation of founders’ stock.
Our IDEAL Candidate:
You are a talented account executive fluent in online marketing and monetizing digital newsletters, who will play a key role in driving Africa.com’s revenue. You are proactive, persistent, can successfully manage online marketing campaigns, and have extensive experience building and maintaining excellent relationships with agencies and direct advertisers. You think strategically, are results-oriented, and think goals are made to be exceeded. You possess a high level of business acumen, communication skills and professionalism as you interface with key executives on a daily basis. You are able to work with cross-functional teams in development and marketing to give client feedback and suggestions on product improvements. You thrive in a creative and dynamic work environment where you’re at the center of optimizing strategic growth.
You will be responsible for:

Developing, growing, and maintaining a base of strategic digital media advertising relationships with agencies and direct advertising clients in the travel, automotive, entertainment, and consumer products industries, among others

Creating and selling customized, strategic digital media advertising campaigns, tailored to your clients' objectives

Planning, implementing, and tracking daily/weekly/monthly sales activities

Hitting quarterly Revenue Goals

Demonstrating proven ability to negotiate contracts and close deals

Working in a hands-on fashion with the advertising operations team

Analyzing campaign performance data, and making recommendations to adjust campaigns in order to ensure achievement of client objectives

Executing against a strategic plan, and aggressively prospecting, evaluating and identifying best opportunities

Attending networking events
Desired Skills & Experience
What We Seek in a National Account Executive:

BA/BS Degree (Business or Marketing preferred)
-
2-5 years experience in online sales or a related function such as media buying/planning
-
Strong analytical skills, including ability to identify and quantify financial impact of opportunities

Skilled at strategic and consultative sales, and metrics driven sales

Results oriented, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
-
Fast Learner - able to learn new programs and skills quickly

Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and familiarity with DFP preferred)

Self-motivated and driven

Internet marketing or account management experience (preferred)

Knowledge of graphics and HTML (preferred)
