This year Applause Africa Magazine will host its 10th Anniversary Event: Honoring Africans in Diaspora. Applause Africa is a leading resource for entertainment, business, fashion, politics, and cultural affairs for Africans. Through our print magazine and website, Applause Africa shares the achievements and ideas of the African community; celebrating Africans as they pursue excellence and foster change.
The event will take place at Macaulay Honors College in New York City, 35 W. 67th Street, beginning at 7 p.m.
Our anniversary event will not only celebrate the accomplishments of our magazine but the accomplishments of the community who inspire our efforts. To this end, this year’s event will award innovators of African descent. Our most recent print edition highlights the 30 Most Intriguing Africans in New York. At our anniversary event, we will also award Ella Gorgla (Keynote Speaker) as Entrepreneur of the Year, Saran Kaba Jones as Person of the Year, Arik Airlines as Company of the Year, and African Services Committee as Non-profit of the Year.
