On February 23, 2012, the Inaugural Stern Africa Forum will present a unique opportunity for
students and professionals to gain insights into the underpinnings behind this amazing story. More importantly, our list of guest speakers from Private Equity, Investment Banking, Media, Social Enterprise, and Government will provide an opportunity for attendees to network and learn where this story is heading. Keynote SpeakerMr. Adebayo O. Ogunlesi
Chairman and Managing Partner of Global Infrastructure Partners
Bayo Ogunlesi is Chairman and Managing Partner of Global Infrastructure Partners (“GIP”), a private equity firm that invests in infrastructure assets in the energy, transport and water sectors, in both OECD and select emerging markets countries. Prior to founding GIP, he held senior positions at Credit Suisse, including Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Client Officer and Global Head of Investment Banking. He is a Director of Callaway Golf Company and non-executive Chairman of the Africa Finance Corporation.
Bayo holds a B.A. (First Class Honours) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University, and a J.D. (magna cum laude) from Harvard Law School and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. From 1980 to 1981, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Thurgood Marshall, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
