Foluso Phillips is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Phillips Consulting Group based in Lagos Nigeria, with offices in Abuja and representation in Johannesburg, South Africa. Phillips Consulting is a Business and Management consulting firm, dedicated to devising strategies, enhancing work processes and developing the competence of employees. The firm has been operating since 1992.
Foluso Phillips is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants of the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science and Technology degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Wale’s Institute of Science and Technology in Cardiff. His secondary school education was at Igbobi College, Nigeria.
Mr. Phillips has gathered tremendous global experience in accounting, costing, financial, information technology and operations management whilst working in the UK with The British Gas Corporation, Lucas automotive company, and Coopers & Lybrand International’s consulting practise. Whilst experience in Nigeria has been garnered with the Pfizer Group of companies, the SCOA conglomerate and Phillips Consulting to date.
Foluso is very active in the African corporate landscape, and sits on the board of several companies, charities, and NGOs across the continent. He is Chairman of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (the country’s leading private sector policy think tank and advocacy institution), Chairman of the Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce, Interbrand West Africa (affiliated to Interbrand, the leading global branding consulting firm), Primera Africa (a stock broking and financial advisory firm) and Yellow Brick Road (an advertising and communications agency). Board responsibilities are also held for Africa.com ( Africa’s fastest growing domain name), Special Olympics of Nigeria (a US based charity dedicated to sports for the mentally challenged), Vigeo Holdings (an energy, Oil and gas service company), the Nigerian Institute of Human Virology, the Michelangelo Towers (in Sandton, J’borg, South Africa) and Flour Mills of Nigeria ltd.
He has a very special interest and keen commitment to the African Renaissance and is extremely active in supporting Pan-African initiatives in different areas of endeavour. He is also a public speaker who has been actively involved in many international seminars and conferences across Africa, Europe, and the USA. He is married with five adult children.
